Personnel changes in The Finnish Chamber of Films
The long-time CEO of The Finnish Chamber of Films, Raija Nurmio, is leaving her position at the end of August at her own request. Having served the organisation for more than thirty years, she will continue as a special expert in the Finnish Chamber of Films.
— A long career – first in the Finnish Film Foundation and then over thirty years in The Finnish Chamber of Films – has offered an excellent insight into the film field in its full variety. It has been great to cooperate with magnificent people and develop the film field in Finland, maintains CEO Raija Nurmio. — This is a proper time to get a new boost to The Finnish Chamber of Films, and I will be happy to share my expertise with them.
On 1 September, Tero Koistinen will start as the new CEO of the Finnish Chamber of Films. He has been working as executive director in The Finnish Cinema Exhibitors’ Association since 2006. In addition to managing The Finnish Chamber of Films, Koistinen will be responsible for the activities of The Finnish Film Distributors’ Association and The Finnish Cinema Exhibitors’ Association.
Nina Laurio will begin as a new worker in The Finnish Chamber of Films. Laurio has worked for more than ten years as a producer (e.g. the films Suburban Virgin, Playing Solo) and has wide experience in organisational work in the film field. She will start as executive director of The Central Organisation of Finnish Film Producers and will also be responsible for the duties of head of office in The Finnish Chamber of Films.

The Finnish Chamber of Films was founded in 1923. It is the central organisation of the associations in the Finnish film field. Its members include The Finnish Film Exhibitors’ Association and The Finnish Film Distributors’ Association. The office services of The Central Organisation of Finnish Film Producers are also organised by The Finnish Chamber of Films.
